Planting and management techniques of honeysuckle seedlings
2021/5/6
Honeysuckle can be planted throughout the year as long as the ground is not frozen, but it is best planted in spring and autumn. When planting, the row spacing is 0.5 m¡Á0.75 m, and 1776 plants are planted per mu. After 3-4 years of planting, depending on the growth situation, the plants can be removed from plants or rows, and the plants can be removed and planted in another location or sold. The final row spacing is 1 m¡Á1.5 m, and 444 plants are retained per mu.
When planting, dig a hole about 30 cm in length, width, and depth, put the seedlings in, keep them upright, cover with loose fine soil and compact it firmly, pour enough water, and then pour the soil and seal it after the water has penetrated and there is no clear water. Pier, restore the shape of the ridge or form a plug. After the soil is cultivated, the planting depth of the seedlings is about 10-15 cm. The honeysuckle after planting retains a single main stem. Erase all the buds and branches that sprouted within 30 cm of the base of the main trunk, and then select 3-4 layers of branches upwards, and finally cultivate a crown tree shape of the main trunk. The main measures are: inserting poles and tying and supporting, forcibly fixing the stems, and layering to leave branches. For a single plant of honeysuckle, insert a bamboo pole or stick beside the plant. The pole is 130 cm-150 cm long. Choose a main vine as the main stem and tie it to the bamboo pole. Note: When planting seedlings, do not directly apply chemical fertilizers in the holes to avoid burning roots and dead seedlings.
